Lab Introduction

Biochemistry lab at PRC enables cutting edge results in Biochemistry and related fields. The lab gives an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge and contribute to ongoing research projects. The lab offers internships, training programs and PhD programs in Biochemistry & Life sciences, also provides hands on experience on advance techniques and instruments.

Dr Soumya R.S is the faculty of Biochemistry lab has more than 15 years of experience in clinical biochemistry. She holds an MSc and PhD in Biochemistry. Did her PhD from CSIR-NIIST, Trivandrum, and having 2 Post Docs . Her Post Doc (DS Kothari Post Doctoral Fellowship, Govt. of India ) are from Dept. of Biochemistry, University of Kerala, Post Doc ( Department of Health Research, Women Scientist Fellowship, Govt. of India) from CSIR-NIIST, Trivandrum.

The lab vision is to focus an interdisciplinary hub for innovative, ethical, and translational scientific advancement, integrating nanotechnology and fostering research collaberations. She has a well expert knowledge in cell culture techniques and mentoring masters and PhD student with focus on high impact research and competitive funding.

Dr Soumya R.S, Scientist, Pushpagiri Research Centre, has been approved as a research guide in the subject area of Medical Biochemistry by Kerala University of Health Sciences (U.O. No 262l2023/dean/KUHS dated 12/04/2023).
